I was trying to get them both to hate me...a la victim-rescuer-persecutor... They'd have some common ground on which to relaunch their friendship, because clearly both feel hurt and paralysed by whatever went on, but no-one died I believe so it isn't anything that cannot be salvaged but these are men we're talking about here. Now if they could only attempt to give me a good kickin' they could walk off into the sunset together, but it couldn't be the sunset over here as there isn't one right now due to fog, rain, mist, damp etc. We'd have to arrange that for somewhere else.
