Reg, I don't disagree with you but I also would like to use an example from my perspective. "our instinct to self deceive to propagate what we feel is our way of life even if it may be self destructive to the whole." And the part about sacrificing other human beings who don't believe as we do...or who aren't born yet (my words). Yeah, I'd say that there is a lot of self deception to go around when it comes to each of us supporting our man. There is also something about the internet and message boards and defending your party which causes us all to stand our ground with even more fervor.

The day the democrats stop their full-on embrace of abortion is the day I begin to weigh the options and really consider the alternatives. There are many of us out here who feel as I do, Reg. I would love to have been able to pull the lever for Kerry in the last election as it would have helped my bottom line financially. That damn conscious of mine got in the way again.
