No, not really that belief but the genetic desire to propagate the belief through natural selection. In other words, to use people from this board as an example, Pat would see Kevin G as a closer say, relative of his "species" than you or I...thus we are further removed and thus more expendable to the pack. It's a whole other deal to address the development of a belief system.

i'll try to remember that the next time i see some yahoo with a "in case of rapture this car will be unoccupied" sticker on it.

by the way, did anybody ever see the film "the rapture"? fascinating, troubling little movie.
