I was stating how the cops got Townsend's address - the FBI got the credit card numbers during the bust, and had the companies pull the identities from their data base, thus the "audit trail" . This had not been established in the thread yet. I made no statement on the morality of the issue, because I took it as a given that this is a heinus crime, and any revulsion need not be stated, and would be assumed. For the record, let me state that Death by Slow Torture is too good for people who commit crimes against children.
The main point of my post has to do with the media coverage, which has not been as over the top as I'd feared.
