Ok, Pete Townsend, I assume this is who you speak of David...is being accused of what exactly? Looking at pornographic images of children. Not creating them, or performing a sexual act with a minor, or sharing them with the general public...he looked at something we find obscene and deviant...but all he appears to have done is looked right? Is not the criminal here the person or persons that created and or presented the images in a public forum? Is this not who we want to put out of business? Sure it's wrong to have paid to recieve these images. This supports the criminals who create them and make them available. Is it not easy to trace where Mr. Townsend's money went when his credit card was charged if in fact it was? Can't we freeze the assets in these accounts and bring to justice those involved? My feeling is Townsend should recieve a fine and slap on the wrist at most because he did not directly, that we know of, cause injury to another indvidual. He looked at some very sick material but he is the end of the line in this transaction and is not the big fish that needs to be caught. If he found these images and paid for them why didn't these brilliant police officials find them first and working in conjuction with a variety of other law enforcement agencies bring the scumbags to justice? I think this is really what we should be asking.
