I'm in full agreement - her new disc is great, and I'll see your cooking and raise you some vacuuming..
It's funny H405, but no kidding, just today I was telling a friend's 24 year old son about music from the '80's' and how I thought that the Police were like a Red Wine (I was 13 with an unrequited crush, and Every Little Thing was both melancholy and upbeat somehow) and Van Halen (Diamond Dave era) was the Steak. Loved 'em both - having and not having, perhaps..anyway that was interpration, not cookin' tunes to cook by...
Has anyone else heard the *new* Coltrane and Monk from Carnegie? All these years later - I can finally appreciate the music - and in some weird full circle thing - argue/talk with my Dad about it...
p.s. - anyone figured out what the waveforms on the cover of Kate's disc sound like?
