in any event, the myth of George W. Bush's "compassionate conservatism" can now be officially put to rest, in soggy, bloody and tattered pieces. that all this human suffering was allowed to happen on his administration's watch is an absolute shameful disgrace. increasingly horrifying, and we're nowhere near the end of the tunnel yet.
