This is for STK only as I am repeating myself to the bulk of the board, but his post deserves an answer.

Since the invasion, the United States has interviewed hundreds of people who were formerly involved with Iraq's weapons program. To my knowledge, no one is saying that WOMD were spirited away to a foreign country. On the contrary, the evidence obtained is that the WOMD program was dismantled years ago. The gassing of the Kurds that you mentioned was over a decade ago. When we invaded, Saddam was not a threat to us, or to neighboring countries. The inspections, sanctions, and no-fly zones worked! Don't you understand that we took a bad situation and made it far, far worse? Bush has brought us over 1800 dead military personnel, 13,500 wounded, 50,000 or so dead Iraqi civilians, $200 billion of US taxpayer money wasted (and we have a lot more to be flushed). And I didn't mention the impending civil war (it may have started), the loss of rights for women, and of course the fact that Iran, a genuine threat, will emerge stronger as the Shiites gain greater power in Iraq, and then of course is the missed opportunity to secure Afghanistan which you at least point out, oh, and of course, North Korea has not exactly been the focus of our attention. Don't you see that Bush fucked up in a massive way? And this ain't armchair quarterbacking on my part as I predicted much of this before the start of the war.
