I do think what he said was wrong and, as I said in my original post, stupid. But I don't think he should be removed from the Senate. I honestly do not believe he intended to offend anyone. I think he was just trying to make a 100 year old man feel good one last time before he drops dead.

I work with several men and women who are black. They all feel the same way as I do. They weren't offended. In fact they feel those who are saying they were "offended" are probably using this to advance their own agendas. "They don't speak for all of us."  

Who am I to disagree?
