oh my, i'm going to have to tell an embarrassing story about the Moving Pictures tour...i went to see them in '81 at (again) the Cow Palace (my dad knew the promoter, so we got free tix to a lot of...rawkin shows). my buddy was freaked about bringing his stash in, so i smuggled them in in the bottom of my Fry's boots, under my big bells. to thank me, he took me up in the nosebleed seats, where we split a quarter gram in like, two blizzardous honks.so i go back to my seat, norted clear out of my 15 year old mind, and somehow figure that it'd be a good idea to throw a lit firecracker down onto the arena floor.
the next thing i know, i'm standing outside the Cow Palace, looking up at the giant walls as the rain comes down. shit like that tends to infringe on the buzz a wee bit.but i still had my pass, so i returned to the front gate and fed them some story about having to get $ from the car...and slunk past the security office very furtively indeed, arriving back at my seat to the astonishment of my friends. neal took a great solo that night.
there was probably a lesson in this somewhere, but my history would suggest that i forgot it.
