I don't know what the hell Kerry is trying to accomplish by trying to be more Bushlike; and that's all I can figure he's trying to do: challenge a war time president by trying to be more warlike. It's a foolish tactic.
I want to be really clear so that we can keep our conversation on track; and now that Dale and Pat have reappeared just in time for the election I'm feeling the pressure to be as clear as I possibly can be. I'm not a big Kerry fan. As you know my politics are way far away from the middle of the road "let's win by being just like the Republicans" strategy that Tom Daschle and all the other Dems have played the past three years.
Having said that I am so opposed to Bush that I would vote for Kerry under any circumstances short of him killing a puppy on live TV (and he would have to do it slowly) for me not to vote for him.
I am discouraged by the right wing attacks on Kerry's war record, his wife, and what he had for lunch for chrissakes. I'm glad to see that you raised a question worthy of debate. Yeah, what the hell is he doing posturing about Iraq and what the hell is he going to do if he becomes El Presidente?
I can't answer that but I feel I have sufficiently assured myself that Bush/Cheney have no plan whatsoever. I will cast my vote based on that alone.
