Y'know Edlorah, most of the scripture is not even 6th grade english. And "All scripture is given by inspiration of God", means that God inspired them to write or say exactly what He wished. Since you are an unbeliever I don't have any trouble understanding that you can't comprehend this for the truth it is since you are being blinded from spiritual truth; but what gets me is that so many believers I have known can't believe that the Creator of everything is not only capable of preserving His words just as He wants them; but also their willingness to believe that said Creator would be mysterious rather than straight forward.

I wish I could get you to understand. If I had one wish, it would be that all men would put their trust in Jesus, like He and His Father want us all to.

The scripture teaches that Jesus was the Lamb of God because He the innocent willing layed down His life to pay the price for all of humanities sins.

And like I said before, no worries here: In slightly more than a thousand years you will be able to talk your life over with Jesus in person. I, and my brothers and sisters in the Lord, will be standing before the Judgement Seat of Christ quite a bit sooner than that(during the Tribulation transpiring here on Earth), answering for ourselves individually too.

And trust me, it doesn't make me better than you, you may very well be a better human being, but I will be better off(based on eternal outcomes) because I came to God, on the simple terms He demands. That's the assurance the scripture offers all believers, there's only one way to heaven. It's what folks refuse to believe that sends 'em to Hell.

PS Although sheep may be a methaphor, which I don't believe, spotless sheep among other young and without blemish creatures were used in Jewish sacrifices for the payment(or cleansing) of periodic and annual sins. Whether individually or for the entire nation of Israel. Jesus was sinless(spotless and unblemished) and thus was able to pay the price for all sin for all time. Otherwise, an even greater percentage of humanity would be going to Hell than will despite living in the dispensation of Grace associated with the church(as in the scriptural meaning of the church: a called out body of individual believers).
