I have said again and again that I take no issue with your personal beliefs about abortion Kevin. Your personal beliefs are just that personal...so they are not really my business. I did take issue with the following things you said though:

It's a twisted world we live in and for many it appears they've lost their way and need some direction about right and wrong. 

I'm the one who is on the side of preserving human life and dignity.  Are you?  Why are you upset with my position?

You guys go on and on about the cost in lives of the war in Iraq but you turn a blind eye to the far greater loss of life in our own country.

I'm sure it's frustrating to you because you really do know that you haven't a leg to stand on when it comes to human rights.  Do something about that and I'll begin to take you more seriously.

I'm a nut for believing in the sanctity of life and you're the normal one for being happy with maintaining your surroundings just as they are no matter how much suffering is happening elsewhere.

But please try and be a bit more honest with yourself.  I can't believe you're actually that cold hearted.  Has your hatred for Bush hardened your heart to all other humanity as well?

All of these things sound like they are coming from someone that doesn't hear anything except what he wants to. I've never used the word "hate" when discussing Bush or his administration. I don't hate him or you. I don't think anything I've said could be mistaken for hate...unless you were not paying attention and saw only what you wanted to see.

I could probably be described in a lot of ways but "cold hearted" would not be one of them. If you found something that indicates I don't care about my fellow man in my words I'm not sure what you read.

I've got no bad feelings toward you Kevin. I don't hate Bush. I didn't say you were crazy. I don't think abortion is something that is high on the list when it comes to fixing what's wrong in the world.

I certainly don't see why you would want to bring more children into the world when we can't feed and care for the ones that are already here. What is the point in that? Shouldn't the first priority be to care for the ones that are starving to death every day? Horrible slow deaths because we didn't care for them. Couldn't care for them. While here you stand asking for more. If that's not cruelty I don't know what is. Then to top it off, the religious right doesn't want to teach kids and people about condoms and birth control. So, let them get knocked up, then horrify them about abortion and force them to bring babies into the world that most likely are going to have a terrible time of it. All evidence points to very few getting a good home. There are too many kids out there right now that need homes. China is a baby factory. You want a baby they've got them in spades and they are shipping them out all over the world like fresh produce. They are not the only country doing this.

Quite honestly, I think your position is far more cruel than mine. It's yours though so you are welcome to it.

You guys on the right keep saying those on the left are all about hate, hypocrisy, group think, and that we don't listen. Yet all I see on this board are people willing to discuss whatever you throw at them and they don't come across as full of hate. In general, it's the guys on the right that seem unwilling to discuss things, that stick to a narrow agenda, and that just turn and walk the other way in a huff with a big "You lefties will never listen."

Sure, you might be outnumbered here but everyone is open and keeps inviting views from the right back to the table. They arguments always end the same way though. The guy from the right throws his hands up and says that's it...I quit. Then all these "nasty lefties" invite the guy back and ask him to provide his input. Horrible thing isn't it?
