the rationals do shift like sand, don't they? still, it's a bit sadly amusing to watch each side howl about how dishonest the other's washington puppets are. like politicians habitually tell the truth, like either side smells like sweet sweet roses (hint: what is added to soil to encourage growth?). they just keep moving the goalposts around and smile while justin and janet do the heavy lifting/distracting. meanwhile, Ralph the Mouth does his best to ensure four more years. a fine mess, indeed.
but we're standing tall! if nothing else... who knows, if a miracle happens and democracy instead of civil war blooms in Iraq, GW'll probably go down in history as a statesman (stranger things have happened. i'll be out back puking in the gardenias, but so be it). his simple language seems to resonate with simple and otherwise americans alike, and sadly but truly, the constant/endless repetition of ideas true or false do eventually penetrate. i still believe we deserve better. only an honestly cooperative approach to the (non-extremists of the) world will create peace and prosperity for all. if you're into that kind of thing.
and for the record, i never had sex with that woman.
