Eric to my knowlege Kerry did not jump on the bandwagon. It was more Terry Mcauliffe creating a witchhunt. What suprises me is the fact that Bush bothered to respond at all. The fact that he did indicates he recogized it as a fairly significant issue.

More clearly put....here you have a potential debate between a man who fought in war and was wounded versus a man who talks like he fought in a war and stayed safe in the US.
I don't think it will be the fact that he served in the war that will be brought up, it will be what he did after his time in the war that will be attacked and rightly so with those that do not agree with his anti-war stance. You know there will be only 2 issues in the next election, the war and the economy. Bush will win on the war but Kerry might win on the economy if things don't get much better so it should be an interesting election.
