Kevin,
We're not beating a dead horse here...I asked you what your point in bringing this up was. Second, I'm aware that you did not find this speech you pulled it from somewhere and someone that probably is using it as some sort of lame attempt at making Kerry look like he's "playing politics" and it's damn amusing that saying something decent can be twisted to bite you on the ass later...it's not the same as outright lying to the American people or creating policy just to win an election...and policy that is harmful to and goes against what you say you were trying to accomplish to boot. And by that I mean Rove's amnesty plan which has been put forth in an election year in an attempt to win Bush votes and not at all with the good of the American people in mind or the safety of the country.
I simply want to know what Kerry meant when he said “We do not need to divide
In fact Kevin here is John Kerry on those words today:
Asked by Sean Hannity on Fox News about the questions raised in the Democratic party about Bush's Vietnam-era service in the national guard, Kerry delivered a subtle attack that, no doubt, is an indication of things to come: "I don't know the facts on it. What I've always said is that I defended Bill Clinton's choice, and I would defend the president's choice with respect to going into the Guard. I've never made any judgments about any choice somebody made about avoiding the draft, about going to Canada, going to jail, becoming a conscientious objector, going into the National Guard. Those are choices people make."
Note a couple things here Kevin...first it says Hannity refered to questions raised by the Democratic party about Bush's record...not questions raised by John Kerry. Second, Kerry says he'd defend the president on his choice. That's from a Time magizine article on this crap if you'd care to actually look it up. So, once again...you and Dale in this case are quite wrong...anything else?
