Well, yeah, I think there is a difference between a felony conviction for selling/distributing, and personal use, but still...does that mean that anyone convicted of a crime, EVER..cannot qualify for aid, if they otherwise meet the criteria?  The message sent out by the government is clear to me...permanent banishment!  That sucks, but their temperament is very draconian and intolerant at present.  I'd like to think that someone who has left the drug life "behind" them, and has got the grades, initiative and determination to succeed should be given the opportunity if they meet criteria.  Why make them outcasts, or send that message?  This NO tolerance thing is a very dangerous thought process...hmmm are those hoofbeats I'm hearing or..wait a minute...sounds like the clump of marching boots!!
