Herring,

It was not so much the book I was recommending, as I have not read it and can't say if it's any good yet, it was the film. It was the film that got me interested in the book and Dow. Anyway, it was your interest in words, writing, and reading that I felt your two posts expressed that made me want to point you in this direction. It's not often, at least I can't remember any others right now, that you get a film that celebrates writers and the joy of reading a good book. I guess I just thought you'd have a certain soft spot for something like this.

I like the idea of the two of us, and of course anyone else that might be reading it, trading ideas and thoughts about the book as we read it. Maybe if they don't wish to do it here we can exchange e-mail about it. I have not opened it yet, sort of busy with the holidays, but I hope to get into it on Friday. I have house guests coming for New Years Eve and day.
