Pat and Marc likely will never change or come to their senses and there are millions like them. I mean they repeated the talking points for years. All those issues you mention, yeah, they were all bullshit distractions for people. 

And yes, I agree Bill Clinton changed the game. Pulled everything to the right and yes, he and Carville got victories but yes, it led to places that ending up breaking things that should not have been broken. Hillary continued down that path, and the party stayed that course. Did not want a guy like Sanders, but he was the right guy in the moment and would have been the shift away from corporate Democrats most people wanted. 

Now it is all tears in the rain. We have to find the forward as my grandfather would say. 

How we do that is going to matter. There are some extremely dangerous and horrible people on the MAGA side. 

I think a lot of criticism of Democrats has to do with how they fight back and there has been this desire to have people like Hillary that fight as dirty as Republicans do represent us. If both sides do that though, where is the example? Where is the standard we want to live up to? That we want the younger generations to see and be able to follow. MAGA is an embarrassing disgrace. A circus tent full of con men, liars, criminals, sex offenders, drunks, racists and idiots. It is hard for me to get a hold of why people want to go in that tent with them.

We are going to have to bury some hatchets to get there, and not in each other.
