I think it is time for me to take a DBIS Sabbatical (hopefully a temporary one). In one day and in one post I have now had my thoughts compared to that of MAGA to being a stoner with nothing to add.

I find being compared to MAGA highly offensive and believe through almost 30 yrs of postings that not one of my posts has leaned that way whatsoever.

I have NEVER, fucking NEVER, advocated to "become more like a Republican" but what I have advocated for is to fight better and if that means using similar effective tactics that Republicans have used that do not require one to become like them, then use them.

And for anyone here to extrapolate in question form if that means things such as bombing churches or other such disgusting things from posts and comments I have made, it is clear my beliefs and practices have been vastly overlooked.

Frankly, I have tried to remove myself from the political things here in the recent past, but like I once typed, I'm like Al Pacino in Godfather III and keep allowing myself to be pulled back in and it just isn't that enjoyable anymore.

So, because I now feel like I am on the sidewalk leading up to the Mick Doorstep, and before I say things I will regret, I am going to take a DBIS sabbatical and immerse myself in music, books, enjoyable entertainment, and my hobbies for a while.

Besides, it is no fun coming to a place and arguing with the people that should not be argued with.
