For the record. I try not to paint ALL republicans or right wing media hosts with a wide brush. Not all republicans are bad, or racist or hate mongers. Just as not all Democrats are selfless and honest about their own motives. Human will be humans.

There are two main parties for a reason, opions differ. I for one desperatly long for a third party of merit. I'm intriquied by the news of the the Free State idea in New Hampshire:       http://story.news.yahoo.com/news?tmpl=story&u=/ap/20031001/ap_on_re_us/free_state_project_3

This notion of a liberal media is an exaggeration by people like Limbaugh & Bill O'Rielly. I do not agree that all the media is liberal that just impossible bullshit (why would the "liberal" media have given the beloved and reviled  Bill Clinton so much grief??) But there is a signifigant right wing element that enjoys success in the media. I think that is because it it is easy to stir up the sheep who will believe as law every foolish one sided nugget that falls from the mouth of Limbaugh or O'Rielly.

If those of you hear really want to be so smart and always right on your opinions you need to read and ingest what the left has to say. By that I mean go out and read Al Franken or Michael Moore or  Bushwhacked: Life in George W. Bush's America by Molly Ivins, Lou Dubose.

You don't have to like it but you should not dismiss it. Especially if we ever hope to have true dialoge amoungst ourselves over our percieved differences.

Go ahead be a repbulican but please don't be the type that only sees things your way. Kevin G and Pat for the record referring to the dems as "they" seems really pointlessly adversarial.

In our hearts I believe we all want the same things and we share the same goals, but the perception is that the Republicans are about the rich, big business, back door contracts and in gereral lies that help and protect the rich. Im not saying thats the wat it is...I'm saying thats the perception. The one thing I challenge anyone to deny is that Bush has taken his eye of the national economy. The numbers that are reported keep saying productivity is up but joblessness continues to climb (some 200,000 jobs lost here in Illinois alone).

Somepart of this can't be right, things are not going great.

Iraq has been & continues to be costly and the ecomony is struggling. I just don't see enough being done to correct either situation.

Your turn......
