Well, he "resigned". My suspicion is that the management gave him a resign or else decision to make, and he will probably get a nice fat severance package. I don't think the comments were "rascist", but he needn't have brought up the black QB thing at all. If he thought Donovan MacNabb wasn't playing up to snuff...just say so..why the qualifier? Actually, after watching MacNabb on TV recently, I remarked to a friend that I thought he must be one of the best quaterbacks of all time. He can really think quickly, and run through slots when the heat is on. Oh well....toujours la meme chose.
Gene
Gene you make good points as always. I actually listened to Rush's show on Wednesday and callers were calling in and blasting him and I mean all the callers. Rush said he had thought about what he was going to say so this was not off the cuff. Was it wrong for him to say this. Absolutely. Was he off the mark? I would say so but is he a racist? Hardly. It is very funny the double standard we have in America today. Its okay for a guy like Dusty Baker (coach of the Cubs) to make racist remarks but if a white man had made the same remarks...... Here was an interesting link on Dusty:

I was listening to a talk show where they had a caller call in and say a black announcer on a national show (in the last 3 weeks) had referred to a white running back as "The Great White Hope". This something you never will read about in the papers or on TV because of the double standard. I again an not excusing Rush's comments but pointing out that it would be nice if it worked both ways
