I honestly, do sort of recall his 1970s songs because, and this is going to be embarrassing, there was a place called The Vogue Lounge, that my friends and would go to that was...well...basically a place to pick-up or be picked up by older women. Which was not my thing as much as it was a thing for friends of mine. Anyway, the place had a reputation and from the second you walked in the door, it was like throwing red meat to the lions. I actually hated going there but my buddies thought it was fantastic.

The music they played was 1970s soft pop and when I went and listened to those Gino songs I posted from the 1970s...took me right back to the Vogue. Crowds of older divorcees drinking and looking to hook-up. The bartenders giving you a knowing grin and sometimes throwing in a salacious comment. There was never a doubt about why anybody was there or that you would leave alone.

Yeah, I can see the guy has talent beyond writing songs you could slow dance to with divorcees in the 1980s. This likely speaks to what a terrible life I led.
