Icon Beliefs are funny things

You can pick and choose beliefs, but facts just are. You can't pick and choose what is a fact. I think that is part of the allure of a Trump or Icke or Jones...that you can choose to believe them instead. I think the horseshoe effect David brought into this comes into play with this because at the same time the right is telling us facts are not as important as beliefs, the left is saying we must respect everybody's beliefs.

Each side is so "bent" they basically are almost touching. So Kent, who I would not call right wing, could fall for a guy like Jones but so could Marc...and so the two of them nearly come together because they have twisted or bent themselves out on the extreme ends of the spectrum so that they are closer to each other than they are the middle. Where oddly, is where Marc placed himself on the spectrum.

We are such contradictions, human beings, in our ability to mix together whatever it is we want even when those things should not go together.

I want to think of most of us, most people, as rational and decent. As I have gone through life, I feel like most people I encounter are. Some are pretty bent though, and there are people out there that want to do the bending.
