See, faith in the people, it works. There just are fewer of the wacko, far right, dumbasses than there are reasonable Americans that believe in keeping our rights, not taking them away.
Not saying it is safe to wander around sections of Texas or Georgia or Florida on Sundays and in the evening but we're not a country of Mike Johnsons...thank Christ.
Here's a funny thought, I always think how would you go about turning what has gone on in this country into a movie and who would I cast in some of the key roles. The first thing is, how do you write this as anything but a black comedy based on the total morons we've had as fixtures in right wing politics?
Second is, were he still alive I would want to cast Peter Sellers as Mike Johnson. My choice to play Trump would likely be Jon Voight, who I believe is a Trump supporter so that would be difficult but I would tell him just to play him like the hero he thinks Trump is...which I think would be funny in the end.
You watched that White House Plumbers show, they did that as comedy and that was nowhere near as nuts and stupid as what we have now.
For Rudy Guiliani I'm going Stanley Tucci, Sideny Powell I would go with Meryl Streep. I mean I actually think about this stuff.
