In addition, if you asked him his favorite pop music right now, he would likely cite Steely Dan, The Beatles, Earth Wind & Fire, Stevie Wonder, Weird Al, Michael Jackson, Elton John, Rush, Queen, ELO and The Beach Boys. Plus Victor Wooten. For more modern stuff, it tends to be music that harkens to that more classic time: stuff like Monkey House, David Myhr, Thundercat, and and the more modern Flying Lotus. He's heard some of that stuff when I played it, but it's not like it was played THAT much or force-fed. These are the things he's kind of found on his own.
