He demonstrates the authoritarian intent to keep worker wages low, preventing any opportunity to take off from work to demonstrate against inequities. The pandemic, with its massive unemployment fueling current protests with angry workers who recognize an injustice when they see it kneeling on George Floyd's neck, strikes a telling blow to authoritarianism's stifling, waiting-to-burst-at-the-seams peace.
Those boycotts by NBA players joined by athletes from other sports, coupled with the totally unexpected calling out of Trump by the city of Portland's mayor, I predict, will be looked back upon as the turning point. leading to Trump's demise.
