Reg, I would love for you to try and find your source and link it here on this board. I believe it may have been misconstrued by yourself or the writer. That is, the fact of Soccer (Football to the rest of the world) being so popular with the US masses. I think most of the data provided by the US sports media is slanted towards television ratings and corporate sponsorship. Not in actual games played by Americans and loved by them. This stems back to our current society’s fixation with a television dominated culture and if it isn’t played on Wall Street or Murdoch and Forbes, it doesn’t seem exist.
