titanic was flat-out brilliant. avatar would have been such if cameron had left out obligatory redneck fight-scene audience pleaser dialogue like "you're not the only one with a gun, bitch" and had totally avoided the atrociously bad 'boss' battle scene at the end... puhleeze... and sigourney weaver's 'fig-leaf' full-body loin cloth during her near not-death scene was laughable at best....although i was glad to see her go, if only from a plot perspective... other than that, i loved it... it contained the most stunning visuals i've ever seen and a great, entertaining and timely story as well, however tawdrily told...
