Icon End of an era ...

Seattle's first (and best) used music store, Cellophane Square, is closing at the end of the month. Another independent, Silver Platters, is now banking on selling used CD's and Vinyl in addition to a limited amount of new product. I've been trying to buy from these independents as much as possible but more and more I find that I have to order the more obscure stuff online. I expect music stores as we know them to be mostly vanished in the next few years. Too bad. I will miss browsing- going in to look for nothing in particular and walking out with an unexpected treasure- and I will miss talking with the staff who work at these places about music, what's new, etc;

I did manage to pick up a used mint copy of 'Triage' today for about $5.00. That's great because my copy is missing the case and all the great art work.
