The Crusaders

Christian evangelicals are plotting to remake America in their own image

For your edification:

First off, they are plotting out in the open, and why shouldn't they work toward an America more to their liking, the communist and the fascist elements are. And the fascist elements are using these babes in Christ, and using em hard. ~~~ The scriptural definition of the "armour of God", beginning at verse 11 & 13 thru 20.

6:1* ¶ Children, obey your parents in the Lord: for this is right. 2* Honour thy father and mother; (which is the first commandment with promise;) 3* That it may be well with thee, and thou mayest live long on the earth. 4* And, ye fathers, provoke not your children to wrath: but bring them up in the nurture and admonition of the Lord. 5* Servants, be obedient to them that are your masters according to the flesh, with fear and trembling, in singleness of your heart, as unto Christ; 6* Not with eyeservice, as menpleasers; but as the servants of Christ, doing the will of God from the heart; 7* With good will doing service, as to the Lord, and not to men: 8* Knowing that whatsoever good thing any man doeth, the same shall he receive of the Lord, whether he be bond or free. 9* And, ye masters, do the same things unto them, forbearing threatening: knowing that your Master also is in heaven; neither is there respect of persons with him. 10* Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might. 11* Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. 12* For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. 13* Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. 14* Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness; 15* And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace; 16* Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked. 17* And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God: 18* Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints; 19* And for me, that utterance may be given unto me, that I may open my mouth boldly, to make known the mystery of the gospel, 20* For which I am an ambassador in bonds: that therein I may speak boldly, as I ought to speak. 21* But that ye also may know my affairs, and how I do, Tychicus, a beloved brother and faithful minister in the Lord, shall make known to you all things: 22* Whom I have sent unto you for the same purpose, that ye might know our affairs, and that he might comfort your hearts. 23* Peace be to the brethren, and love with faith, from God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ. 24* Grace be with all them that love our Lord Jesus Christ in sincerity. Amen. <>

I believe, if you bothered to read the pertinent portion, you would have to agree, these folks are wasting their time, and arguably(per the complaint of this thread), bringing blame to the Lord's cause("Giving no offence in any thing, that the ministry be not blamed:").

I should also add that the "crowns of glory" per the scriptural prescription, have nothing to do with temporal warfare:

crown of life. crown of glory crown of righteousness crown of rejoicing

all having to do rather with ones faithfulness to the Lord during their temporal passage.

As to the so-called Dominists mission: no where does the scripture say, or suggest, we Christians are to do anything other than attempt to live peaceably here; and in fact, that outcome is the best circumstance we can hope for, as this is not our home; we as our Lord are strangers hereabouts. Further, the greater danger as we see here, is Christians being conformed to the world, which we are instructed to avoid.

So, I'd have to say these folks aren't long on literalism. (Btw Mick, I am dogmatic, Jesus Christ is the son of God. That said my dear sir, I do attempt to rightly divide God's word and apply all the dogma therein, not just the parts that'll make me popular:-)

Another point these so-called literalist are overlooking is that, in the short-term, prior to our Lords return(dogmatic about that too:), we Christians don't win any wars: although we were allowed some key battles like the Bill of Rights(liberty of conscious being the battle cry).

Which is not to say Christians shouldn't influence their localities and institutions, however, when the time comes, Jesus Christ will reclaim the entire world, by himself, by force(Jesus is a King Reg. The King of Kings in fact. That's what the scripture says. That you choose not to believe that is a different, but common problem. And! although my desire would be to dissuade you, I would defend your right to make that choice).

Kennedy's job as a minister of the Lord is to spread the Gospel, nurture his flock spiritually and temporally.

All that said, they are correct about the so-called separation & state reading of the 1st Amendment. The plain English of the 1st Amendment 'is' to shield religious practice from the government. Any other interpretation exhibits an ignorance of the history that lead to that amendment, and an intentional muddying of the topic at the behest of some contrary agenda. The crux of the Amendment, is direct, and in no way open to the modern interpretation: "Congress shall make no law".

"Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the government for a redress of grievances."

Activist judges, rogue senators, tyrannical presidents, get over it, the world is contrary to the ways of the Lord, big surprise. Repentance and prayer on Christians part would be far more effective than all this political activism. The Spirit of God could do more for us than either party, both of whom, have always, been under the spell of the love of money.

Had never heard that about Mr Moore(wonder what his reasoning was). Now if he called for the death penalty for a pedophile, I could support that. Rapists too.

Christians should abandon public schools. This topic too shows these folks are not steeped in the the meat of the word. There is no fighting the propaganda machine of the state, which are clearly anti anything to do with God.

Christian flag? Isn't that idolatry? And how about that anthem, John Leland, whose headstone reads, "Here lies the body of John Leland, who labored 67 years to promote piety and vindicate the civil and religious rights of all men.", would be horrified.

As to the the Houses of Worship Free Speech Restoration Act: why should there be a need for such an act? Why should preachers, any preacher be denied freedom of speech? That's just hokey. But those of you who will dispute that(for one vacuous reason or another) conveniently forget that George Washington -yeah that one- called upon preachers to fire up the citizenry, that they might encourage enlistment, and for donations of needed sorely needed supplies. And you also conveniently ignore this 501(c)3 stuff is a new development too.

On the other hand, Christian churches, should have never agreed with that tax exempt nonsense to begin with.

However, I do pray my Father that Americans might, for a bit longer, be protected from our leaders, and, for a while longer, be spared from the judgment that He will surely exact upon our nation. This may not have ever been a purely Christian nation but the first several waves of new arrivals were Christians of one stripe of another, and they came in search of freedom of worship. Or, in more colloquial terms, they were sick and tired of being messed with. It's funny to me, how present day liberals deny the tremendous influence Christianity had in securing the liberties Americans think they continue to have today. Or their part, in diminishing those blessings, that benefited everyone.

peaceably

Some handy and representative quotes from Wiki:

John Leland:

? "The notion of a Christian commonwealth should be exploded forever...Government should protect every man in thinking and speaking freely, and see that one does not abuse another. The liberty I contend for is more than toleration. The very idea of toleration is despicable; it supposes that some have a pre-eminence above the rest to grant indulgence, whereas all should be equally free, Jews, Turks, Pagans and Christians." - A Chronicle of His Time in Virginia. ? "Truth disdains the aid of law for its defense — it will stand upon its own merits." - Right of Conscience Inalienable. ? "Every man must give account of himself to God, and therefore every man ought to be at liberty to serve God in a way that he can best reconcile to his conscience. If government can answer for individuals at the day of judgment, let men be controlled by it in religious matters; otherwise, let men be free." - Right of Conscience Inalienable. ? "Resolved, that slavery is a violent deprivation of rights of nature and inconsistent with a republican government, and therefore, recommend it to our brethren to make use of every legal measure to extirpate this horrid evil from the land; and pray Almighty God that our honorable legislature may have it in their power to proclaim the great jubilee, consistent with the principles of good policy." - Resolution for the General Committee of Virginia Baptists meeting in Richmond, Virginia in 1789.
