You say:
"I do find it interesting that Chris Mathews referred to him something to the words of "Sexual Deviant". So in my mind he is referring to all gays as sexual deviants. Can't work both ways Chris." -Pat Brown
It's funny all the talk show wackos must get the same list of talking points every morning. The guy on the radio here I listen to the most tried to make this same point. His show is only broadcast in Massachusetts unless you listen on the internet but being that you are also saying this I'm guessing this is one of the talking points nationwide for the radio windbags.
I don't have any use for Matthews and I'm not defending him but you guys have this all wrong. Larry Craig was peeking into the stall at another man on the toilet and then reaching under the stall with his hands and feet when he got into the one next to the cop. This behavior has nothing to do with being gay it's just bad behavior all the way around. It doesn't matter if you're peeking in windows at people or trying to peek at them in the bathroom most people would find this behavior wrong. Craig was hoping to get a stranger to have sex with him in a public bathroom. That's a little off the beaten path isn't it? It might be thought of as predatory behavior in fact. I don't think it would matter much if he sat down next to a woman he didn't know in the terminal and started reaching over and touching her seat and indicating he wanted to go into a bathroom and get it on with her. People tend not to like this behavior no matter how you slice it. It's sort of lowlife behavior not gay behavior.
So if that's what Matthews said he's not far off and his comment has nothing to do with gay men. Your talk show heroes are just trying to twist things to their normal "liberal media"-"let's find a way to use this to make the Democrats/liberals look bad/like hypocrites" bullshit.
This guy is at least the third Republican this summer caught trying to score sex in a men's room. Plus you've got Vitter rolling around in a whore house. Now the Republicans and their idiot mouthpieces on the radio are trying to turn it into a way to make the media look bad and blame the liberals yet again.
Blame them for what? Not allowing these Republican Christian Conservative assholes to post the 10 Commandments in every men's room stall? Oh, those evil liberals make me want to have sex with other men in a public bathroom because I couldn't post the 10 Commandments at the airport!
"Collectively I think the Republicans are a bunch of pussies anyway." -Pat Brown
I am almost afraid to ask what you mean by that.
"I classify as a convervative and not necessarily a Republican." -Pat Brown
A conservative would not have supported attacking Iraq, not in a million years. So, whatever you are it ain't conservative, cowboy. A conservative would never support George W. Bush and would be screaming for his impeachment. Again, you don't qualify. Trying to align yourself with the word "conservative" in fact is sorta like saying Hitler was very kind to the Jews...it'll cause people to go all cross-eyed trying to figure out just what the fuck you are talking about.
Mr. Clue, this is Mr. Pat. You guys really need to get to know each other.
