For me, Stranger Than Fiction was a pleasant surprise. The was the general household verdict. We also caught up on Half Nelson which has fine performances. I almost hate to admit it (to this group anyway)but we enjoyed Music & Lyrics as a cotton candy movie; Hugh Grant just works for me.
Lined up in my netflix queue are The Last King of Scotland, Volver and The Devil and Daniel Johnston and, since the weather sucks today, I may go out to either Away From Her or (a guilty pleasure) Paris, Je T'aime. Last night, as a major default, a friend and I watched The Holiday - to be avoided at all costs. There is NO reason on this earth that Cameron Diaz should ever be in another the movie - Kate Winslet, Jude Law and Jack Black tried but a horrible script and Diaz equals fiasco. And, although you may all expect me to watch the Tony awards tonight - it's all about that other Tony's swan song and John from Cincinnati
