Fair enough, but probably way overboard in the intelligence gathering, I would think, but let me assume for the moment that you are spot on. You then state...without aerial bombing, the missile battery would be taken out, and those people who were operating the missile battery would be either killed or preferably captured and interrogated (maybe over a nice cup of cappucino...kidding, kidding). Taken out etc...HOW?
Man, they're sending fucking rockets over killing your neighbours, maybe your kids. How long would it take to find out where they are, and hammer the bastards? Even if you avoid airstrikes. That leaves artillery which is just as "messy" and probably less accurate for target strike, or ground troops, which would incur troop casualties (our/your troops). I mean seriously... I just can't get very excited about diplomacy with people who target civilians with rockets.
A for the exam, and I truly do respect your point of view and tactics, but I wouldn't sleep well with you in command.
