All that technical stuff sounds good on paper, but when it comes right down to actually using all those fancy gadgets it takes real world experience. The military force that has the best working knowledge of how to integrate all those capabilities are the Israelis (or at least was prior to Shrub's dirty little war - the US may have caught up). If the Israelis aren't doing it then it's probably not possible or highly cost prohibitive.

An immediate hole in David's plan is where are all the special forces going to come from? All our best trained troops are busy getting blown up or torturing Cafe owners. Ditto the availability of high speed helicopters, C-130 gunships and AWACS planes.

A second serious shortcoming is how to process all the data. We've proven over the last six years that it doesn't matter how much those intelligence clowns gather, they'll barely be able to get anything operable out of it. To this day we seem to get blindsided by every major development on the international scene - from Hamas' rise to power to the Hezbollah rockets. And we could count on processing thousands of cell phone calls from anonymous sources? (Hell, the army has probably discharged 85% of their Spanish speaking interpreters for sounding gay.)

At this point I'm just praying the cease fire holds for a while.. until the next time some group hell bent on destroying Israel again shatters the peace.
