thanks, mickster. yes, you were right to hold out for the right shuffler. there're many kinds of shuffles, Chicago, St. Louis, etc. i can't pretend to know many of 'em, but i can pull off the basic one without falling over, so that's something, i guess.

as far as seeing it coming, my third eye knew all, of course....'cause the bassist couldn't get along with anyone or anything...well, maybe Anheiser-Busch products, but that's about it. still, i didn't expect such an intercoursing at the hands of the singer and guitarist, with whom i got along really well. sometimes people snake ya', we know this much. it's being fucked out of the recording credit that chaps my hide, still....have i mentioned GRR!? still, we played some good shows, went to Europe, had a lot of fun and rocked damn hard, and i got to learn how to play rockabilly and further improved my punk drumming skills.

ah well...i had the other two bands going strong and still do more than ever, so my hot cocoa is fairly tear-free.

musicians: occasionally gifted, often quite troubled. ain't we a peach? i had to let go a bassist from my (Stark Raving) band a few years back cause he was so stoned at every waking moment that he couldn't even remember the parts that he'd come up with himself, much less play them consistently live. sheesh!
