My band in high school was led by a sax player...
He was the, biggest, the most motivated and the
most confident among us. We used to play
these frat parties near San Diego which always
got crashed by Navy guys and Marines from the
bases nearby. Something happened at one of
the shows down there, I guess I caused a fight,
and Mike (the sax player) got really upset on the
way home. We were on the 405 freeway, and he
told Mark, the guitarist, to slow down for a
second. When Mark did, he flung the VW bus's
sliding door open and booted me out of the bus!
I rolled like a basketball. Until I hit a phone box.
Come to think of it, he's never apologized for
that. I should call him.db
