Icon What's really sad here...

Sad...or maybe some people with a dark sense of humor find it funny...is that the subject of the memo is that the Bush administration lied and have been caught with their hand in cookie jar. Which is bad enough but to turn that fact around they are trying to use the memo to make the Democrats look bad for abusing their access to this information by using it against them.

Makes you scratch your head doesn't it. I'm not sure who's side this story is worse for...in my opinion this is worse for the Bush crew...it basically states they've got the goods on them...but to someone on the right I guess they'd say it's worse for the Democrats because they are abusing their access to this information. Basically using the lies of the Bush people against them for political reasons.

I'm not at all shocked or surprised by any of this. Both sides work this way and they all at times come across as a bunch of hysterical school girls. I think the feeling is the stakes have been raised so high that it's ok to bend the rules, cheat, lie, steal, kill, whatever...to knock down the opposition. Washington DC is really the worlds most expensive whorehouse these days and it's whoever pays the most gets the most beautiful whore.

Look at the new Bush Medicare nonsense. That is not about providing seniors with affordable medication...it's structured so that the pharmacuetical companies and insurance providers...those that pay the most for lobbists to bend the ear of the administration...to benefit by making sure that Medicare even with all it's buying power cannot get a discount for buying in bulk from the pharmacuetical companies. So they get to continue to drive up their price and Medicare has to pay it...which some see as leading to the complete collapse of the system. Which really would be what Bushco would want because it all gets privatized and guess who benefits? Seniors don't have lobbists and they'll die soon so they can't vote from the grave...well maybe in Florida they can.

Really though my point is, while we sit around arguing about who is more right or wrong...or that our side is better...these guys are just giving us the shaft.

What is really amazing is when someone like GA throws this memo out there like it's a slur on the Democrats...it may be to some extent...but at the same time to a far greater extent it's bad news for the Republicans. Nobody wins on that one and really we should all read it with disgust.

Notice also that the article does it's best to make it look as if the Democrats are the ones that are wrong here. That's because if you just read the memo they figure most people would not understand what it means and may only catch on to the fact that it's caught the Republicans in a bunch of lies that the Democrats want to expose. But when they write it they add stuff like..."the memo boasts that..." and attempt to make it look as devious as possible. Sad, but that's how the guy who wrote it wanted you to read it. To get you good and fired up something really wrong has happened.

So, the article itself is propaganda. The memo is dumb most of all and shameful. The overall effect for all of us should be disgust. I do mean all of us left and right and in the middle.

There's no doubt that the lines have never been more defined in DC and that these guys are all set to do battle. Really though, you look bad trying to defend either group...one group calling the other liars or dishonest or hypocritical is actually hilarious...or even GA's comical "Party Of Principals" comment...right now they are both so full of dirty tricks I don't if they have time for anything else. They are all in the same damn boat and it's sinking...and rather then head for the lifeboats or try to bail out the water or fix the problem...they are all still sitting in the casino trying to cheat eachother at cards. Guys like GA stand behind their men laughing thinking..."Hey, we're cheating better than they are so we're gonna win!"...enough of that...why would you want to go down with this ship of fools?
