Peter:

It's simple --- I do not like Springsteen --- and I never did either. When I was in high school I had a friend Joe Vipiano (sp?) and he spent a considerable amount of time trying to get me into his music.

I have heard quite a bit of his music --- and I honestly just didn't get into it AT ALL. By the time he hit BORN IN THE USA --- it was GAG ME TIME in my book.

Obviously you DO like his music. I think that's great, Peter. I love it when we as individuals are able to find music that speaks to our own individual life experiences.

However --- what I don't understand is why you think that it was some kind of personal attack. I am sure that there are artists that I listen to that you wouldn't like.

Instead of getting upset that I insulted one of your heroes --- you might try being happy that there is room for both me and you in this world --- our likes, dislikes, fears, and peccadillos --- the whole nine yards.

I'll say it again . . .

Bruce Springsteen is an overrated and undertalented mediocre guitar player with no voice. I have not heard one song that I have ever liked --- let alone wanted to buy and listen to again. I think that the music press made him a star by putting BORN TO RUN as the must-own album of that year. His own career path tends to agree with this --- as he faded from the music press --- his sales have fallen considerably.

He's not even as popular as he was in his GLORY DAYS. :)

Peter --- why do you think that I have to like everything you do? Would that make you more secure in having made that choice? I am serious --- I would like to know what made you so angry.
