Thanks for explaining your point more --- here is why I asked:

I had a friend who got into a near fist fight with me over the vinyl vs. disc discussion. He is a musician, a guitarist, who kept on saying IT'S WARMER and I kept asking him what he meant --- he could not properly express himself, so I never got that one resolved.

Perhaps he had no credibility because of the EMERSON stereo equipment he was using. (hee-hee) :)

However, I am a little confused by your comments. You intimated that WARMTH comes from the performer, now please understand I am not disagreeing with you --- but wouldn't that indicate the PERFORMANCE --- and NOT the mastering medium?
