I'm afraid you are wrong about that one Kent. Maybe you are thinking of Jon Erik Huxem or Brandon Lee but Pete Duel killed himself and it bummed me out for years. The guy who replaced him Roger Davis was pale compared to Pete.

His girlfriend might have killed him but there was no reason for that.
I watched an interview with Ben Murphy who played Kid Curry and he said he felt Pete was definitely suicidal.

I'ts a damn shame too because I really think he would have gone on to become a major motion picture star which is what he wanted or at least the freedom to get of of Alias Smith and Jones which he thought was crap and it was when he was not in the show :):)
