Well Dale - thanks for posting the section of the PA in question.  I can only guess that the highlighting was your added touch.  I'm not about to dictate to you what is right for you or what is wrong.  But at least show some consistancy in your argument.  You highlighted the 1st Amendment just to make the point that the 1st Amendment shouldn't be trampled on.  But how can you fail to see that this article does nothing but reverse the 4th Amendment.  Is the 1st more important than the 4th?  What if the PA included an aricle that curtailed any free speech that the fed gov would consider terrorism - would that give you reason to pause?  I know it's hypothetical.  But do you see what I'm trying to say.  My whole gripe in this thread is that Marc and Pat (and I'm guessing you) hold that 2nd Amendment so dear - to the point of saying any infringing on it is like living in Nazi Germany.  And then you guys simply toe the line on this PA when the Constitutional reversals are real and in black and white...not some scare tactics used by the NRA/RNC.  I'm all for the Constitution being a living document that needs to be tweaked from time to time.  I think gun control measures that have moved slowly and with much debate are healthy tweaks to the Constitution - but I think this PA that was obviously rushed post 9/11 are nothing more than a sweeping power grab by the DOJ with a wink and a nod from the Executive branch.
