Now you are talking my language Reg - We are on a knife-edge ATM and things could move really fast if the US system of so-called checks and balances does not move to stop it. 
As for Denmark giving up it will not make a lot of difference from a war perspective - the indigenous greenlanders pretty much all have sniper rifles in the closet due to polar bears and seal hunting being their primary source of food. They are going to be pissed... Yes the US will obviously win, but it is gonna take a while and cost a lot of soldiers lives. Meanwhile NATO is dead and the US will be an international paria.
