We normally add our voices to the protests, but this is not that. I saw a video recently of a couple in their late 60s to early 70s. They talked of positioning themselves peacefully on the sidelines and observing. It didn't take long for ICE to come over and pepper-spray them for just standing there. They were hassling no one. One of the ICE Gestapo started getting rough with the man's wife. He appealed to him to stop because of her age, and he did, but that shouldn't have been necessary. I'm not sure our presence would help. It's angering to watch this happen in our own backyard and feel helpless to stop it. Writing about it isn't enough, but I will continue to add my voice in that way, as pointless as it seems.
