OK, I will try to keep this one short.
I want to make this very simple, because to me, if people discuss this, we should be able to give a clear and simple breakdown of what is happening.
Donald Trump is now openly telling lies, tripping himself up with lies he has already told, and he is mostly getting away with that at the moment. One issue with this story is it covers a large period of time and so most people will hear things about it on the news, but they do not grasp the order of how things went down.
The best thing the media could do is put events on a timeline, because the timeline itself exposes lies Trump is telling about it...and he is changing his lies to react to different things that come out. If Murdoch and the WSJ are going to go at Trump on this, expose him through the timeline and let the reporting bleed into all your other media outlets. To some degree, the WSJ is a solid paper to expose him because it is owned by the guy that owns FOX and that played a part, a big part, in this clown becoming president.
Trump is afraid and struggling with this. He has not been able to tamp this story down nor distract from it. He is flailing. Here's the thing, if he had nothing to hide, he would not be doing any of this. That is obvious, I know everybody recognizes that.
If Trump is innocent, if Trump wanted to take down child molesters, if he wanted to get other people prosecuted for raping and abusing children...well...he should be saying clearly over and over "I will never pardon Ms. Maxwell. She was convicted with overwhelming evidence by a jury, 9-0, for her crimes. If she wants to provide further evidence on who was involved, do so, testify before Congress under oath, and then depending on what comes of that, perhaps the Justice Department will consider some sort of reduction of her sentence. But there will be no pardon."
This is not at all what Trump is saying. He has been calling the story a hoax, said it was made up by Democrats, says his supporters that believe it are fools, and that he has every right to pardon Maxwell. He even has people trying to sell the idea that Maxwell is innocent and was just a victim of the evil Maureen Comey.
The truth is, according to the people that knew Epstein and Maxwell, Maxwell was the brains behind the operation, Epstein got in with many of the people he got in with because of her. Many of these men that dealt with Epstein thought he was a buffoon, a Trump-like buffoon, but they liked dealing with Maxwell.
So, Trump should know all of this, should know the part Maxwell played, should have Maureen Comey overseeing any dealing with Maxwell because she knows the case, 30 years of it. He is instead, flailing about telling lies in public and changing his story as more and more comes out, while trying to intimidate the media with massive lawsuits against anybody that tells the truth about him and what he did. This is the behavior of a guilty man, the behavior of a man with something to hide. It is a big something.
