Great book, it seems like it was closer to 15 years ago that I read it. Friedman is as thoughtful a commentator on the Middle East as I've found and his weekly columns in the NY Times are essential reading. He's that rare writer who seems respected by the left and right. A real cool guy indeed. And thanks for bringing him and the book up.
