For those seeking a better understanding of the Middle East, I cannot recommend this book strongly enough. It is about ten years old, but still very current. It gives one a good understanding of why in some ways we might be in more trouble in Iraq than we think and what our current leaders lead us to believe. Also, Frontline on PBS has a documentary on this Thursday on the Iraq War. I saw the man behind it, Martin Smith, on the Charlie Rose Show. Quite an interesting man.
