I was at the record store yesterday, and I was looking through their section of DVD's with my wife, when she said, "Hey, here's a DVD by KING CRIMSON." The guy behind the counter said to me immediately "If you are into KING CRIMSON, please BUY THIS DVD--- you won't be disapointed!"
So, I picked up the KING CRIMSON DVD called DEJA VROOOM, which was simply amazing! It contains a complete show, which was recorded in Japan, with the band's double-trio configuration of the 1998 tour.
This DVD is simply the BEST music DVD I have ever seen, let alone purchased! It has the coolest extras I have ever seen and heard on any DVD, even including many film DVD's that I have purchased.
There is a feature that lets you create a super lineup of various members of the CRIMS all through the years. You can have the rythym section from 1974 perform with the vocalist from the 1996 band, and so forth. This feature is called 21st Century Schzoid Band, where a special version of the song 21st Century Schzoid Man is played by the performers you select yourself!
There is also a 100 page history of the band in the form of a PDF file on the disc, and many other great features!
They play all their best songs on this DVD, and it was well worth the purchase. If any of you are into the CRIMS, then you will be doing yourself a favor by getting what I feel is the single best music DVD ever made--- that is until the New Folk Underground release a show on DVD!
