First of all, it's Stossel, not Stossle. Second, that name and "balanced reporting" do not go hand in hand. ( http://dailynews.yahoo.com/h/nm/20010626/en/television-stossel_1.html ).

I think it might have something to do with the fact that the right-wing view is so often espoused by corporate interests who have obvious economic stakes in preserving the status quo.

Studies indicate a lot of things. Which studies are you referring to? You could find a study supporting just about any opinion. Perhaps some of the "new" concern you're upset about has its roots in the incredibly anti-environmental language built into NAFTA. As people around the world come to the realization that they have no legal toehold against corporations polluting their air and water, stuff like this has a way of being kicked up. You know?

Do you form all your opinions so arbitrarily? Can you prove global warming isn't real? I don't think so. I can give you two studies supporting the proof of its existence for
every one you dig up debunking it. At the end of the day, we'll just end up with two big piles of words. That you decide to believe one pile over another doesn't make your version of the truth hard fact. What possible harm can come from educating children about the dangers of pollution? Who are you trying to protect, really?
