I mean, I do think we hit too late when he won this election. Now we are just in damage control mode. You can't stop everything he will do, he's going to do some damage, just a matter of how much now. So, it probably comes down to which things we prioritize to protect.
I just expect he will commit some horrific act early, something to get everybody's attention that will be designed to intimidate people. When he does this, I think it will mostly be designed to frighten Democrats, because he has already destroyed Republicans. My hope is, and I mean you have to have hope, when he does this it will shock a good percentage of the people that voted for him. The ones that voted for him thinking he will just be a "normal" president that will be better for the economy and did not think he would be a monster.
It is hard to predict how far he will go. All we know is what he has said he would do and what the nuts he has surrounded himself with have promised. He is going to try to do some real damage to a (or several) big name Democrat that has committed no crimes and is completely innocent. He's got Kamala Harris on his enemies list and she has not committed any crimes. Will it be her? I don't know but it will be important to him to destroy someone that is innocent because that allows him to prove he can destroy anybody. It is the best show of power for him.
It will be a disgusting show, my hope would be most Americans see this for what it is when it happens.
I think his insane picks to fill his administration are all about showing his power, testing how far he can go. I think what needs to be pointed out to the public is these people he is selecting are supposed to be "advisors" to the president. People he can rely on to give him good advice and counsel in a wide array of important areas. You need to select people that know what they are doing, can assess situations and provide leadership and give you a good idea of what is going on and the best direction to go in. He has done the complete opposite of that. He has chosen people that don't know what they are doing, that will not be providing him with any good advice...they are being selected because of how unqualified they are, that they can't do these jobs, and that they will do what he tells them at the drop of a hat. Presidents can't do the job alone, they need a lot of help, they need people, experts, people with a background in vital areas, that can step up to the plate when the time comes. His picks have none of this.
It's a list of toads and flunkies, of criminals and morons. It is a list of people that will have no issue betraying the country and the people they are working with to do the bidding of one corrupt guy because he wants revenge.
This puts the country in the most precarious position we have ever been in and really the big question everybody should be asking, even Pat Brown, is why would he do this?
These are not the appointments of a person that is taking running this country seriously. He is appointing people only to shock, make a show of his power, and to put people in place that won't know what they are doing so he can tell them what he wants done and they will just do that. You can't run a country like that. That is an unavoidable fact.
It is going to get people killed, he will have nobody to give him good advice when he needs it, it is really insane. I don't think people in the media should parse these picks, they should point out how they make no sense, how presidents chose these people because they need other people that know what they are doing to help run the country, to protect it, that will know how to address a problem when it occurs.
You don't fill these positions with a list of horses that won the Kentucky Derby. People need to come to their senses on this.
It's not that it is just not normal, it is dangerous. No president that wants to protect and help the country intentionally picks people that are completely unqualified to do these jobs. You would only do that if your intent was to destroy the country. He's leaving himself in a horrible position doing this because when he needs someone to rely on, he's chosen people that will pick up the phone and say "I thought you were going to tell me what to do!"
A president is supposed to want the best people that can help him in a crisis. Trump himself sucks in a crisis and everybody knows it. This guy is going to need a lot of help but he's not going to get it from the clowns he is selecting and that means all of our asses are hanging out there in the breeze.
How can anybody discuss this without taking that into consideration? Even Pat. This is way beyond trolling us and owning the libs, this is begging for a disaster and Elon's cash can't buy them out of that.
